First two pictures shows the Billerbahn diesel, a gift to me in 1953 or so, and the same-generation steam locomotive repaired recently,

obtained from an eBay auction in May 2007.  The repair required a small ratchet part to be fabricated out of spring steel by a

friend who is an expert machinist, and the broken spring re-drilled near it’s new end and re-installed.

The picture below shows the difference between the two chassis, the steam engine having a steam cylinder and driving rod

Finally, a small selection of rolling stock, the passenger car obtained in the same auction lot as the steam engine, the open wagon

obtained in a Toronto toy show in the early 90s, and the tipper wagon from the 1953 train set #155
